Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,

     I am so excited to inform you about our counseling program at Bayside Elementary.  Our program will focus on the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. Good character does not develop spontaneously.  Rather, it is the result of conscientious efforts to instill and reinforce ethical values in a way that makes them second nature. Activities on Knowledge of Self and Others, Career and Educational Development will also be addressed. 

We will continue with our Gator Kid Program this year.  Gator Kids are students who display true character traits. Those students will be given special recognition over the school's intercom system along with a certificate, pencil, and T-shirt. Each month we will post our new Gator Kids. Click on Photo Album above to see their pictures!

Bayside is excited to have John Simmons as our part-time counselor.  He will be serving our 4th and 5th grade students this year. We are thrilled to have John become a part of the Bayside family.
